DP Gachagua warns governors to keep off politics, focus on jobs

In Mount Kenya politics, the DP said the leadership is content with President William Ruto's leadership, which had provided them with a lot of Cabinet and PS positions. "We got more slots from government positions than we expected," he said.

Gachagua warned government critics to stop inciting Kenyans against Hustler Funds, which were created for low-level employees. Speaking at Thaara Secondary School, the DP denied any disagreements in the government over the appointments.

"We got more positions in government than we expected because we didn't sign an MoU with President Ruto," Rigathi said. During the fund-raising event, Rigathi contributed Sh1 million, while President Ruto contributed Sh3 million.

On the Hustler fund, he advised the wealthy to focus on their millions of shillings and leave those interested in small loans alone.

In terms of technical institutes, he said the government will invest in the construction of 52 new technical institutes.

Rigathi advised TVET graduates to use Hustler Fund loans to purchase tools related to their areas of specialisation.

During the commissioning of the Maragua Technical Institute, he said by next year, the national government will start the construction of additional institutions to help the country achieve Vision 2030. MPs in attendance included host Mary Wamaua, Betty Maina, Njoroge Wainaina (Kieni), and Jane Kiharu, who all endorsed the DP as Mt Kenya's kingpin.

Governor Irungu Kang'ata said President Ruto's administration has significantly improved Kenyans' access to services.
