Former beauty queen beaten

Joan Musumba, the immediate former Miss University crown holder, failed to impress during the Miss Kenya, Earth, finals as surprise winners carried the day during a glamorous event held in Nairobi on Saturday.

The former beauty queen, who was contesting for the top title, did not make it there as Linda Gatere, a fellow student at Kenyatta University, won the Miss Kenya Earth title.

The Miss Kenya Grand International title went to Elaine Mwangi, a student at St Paul’s University, Nakuru Campus, while third place went to Eunice Atieno, who will soon be joining Kenyatta University to study sales and marketing.
