The House also approved the nomination of Renson Ingonga as the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) after the Department of Justice and Legal Affairs found him fit to take up the position.

The two now await a formal appointment by President William Ruto before assuming office.

If gazette, Ingonga will replace Noordin Haji who was appointed as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Service on June 14 this year.

On the other hand, Musangi will take over from Mohamed Nyaoga, if gazetted.
