Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has revealed that it has been a while since he last talked to President William Ruto.

Speaking from his son's home in Karen, Nairobi, on Friday, July 21, Uhuru stated that Ruto has not shown interest in reaching out to him, leaving them both in silence.

His address comes after reports emerged that police officers had allegedly stormed the Karen home of his first-born son, Jomo.

"President William Ruto has not shown any indication that he wants to talk to me, and as a retired president, why would I want to talk to somebody who doesn't want to talk to me?" he questioned.

Uhuru's statement comes even as rivalry between the two leaders has been evident in public.

Barely two days ago, the government withdrew security attached to former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta.

However, no explanation was given for the withdrawal of the security.

Uhuru called on the Kenya Kwanza administration to target him instead of targeting his children and family.
