Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, is set to break the Guinness World Record for the 'longest cooking time' by an individual.
The 27-year-old announced on April 2 in an Instagram post that she was going to make her five-year-long dream a reality.
The event was scheduled to begin on April 28 but had to be moved to May 11 at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos following the needs and requirements of the extra people who registered to be in attendance.
On Sunday, she replied to a tweet where Guinness World Records wrote "today is a good day to break a world record" replying "I'm on it."
She has set up a 'cook-a-thon' for four days and four nights to break the 87 hours, 45 minutes' record that had been set in India in 2019.
Baci, a multi-talented entrepreneur started her 4-day cooking marathon challenge on May 11.
So far, Baci has cooked over 110 meals and served over 3,000 people despite her dead tired state from being on her feet for three days and counting.
She has been cooking while standing and hasn't even caught a nap as she pushes to achieve her monumental goal.
Nigerian leaders, celebrities, influencers and film stars have actively supported Baci's attempt by being present at the venue and showering her with words of encouragement and affirmation.
Nigerian president elect Bola Tinubu has encouraged the young chef to keep on with the challenge of breaking the record.
"IDAN doesn't break, she breaks records. We're rooting for you, Hilda" Tinubu tweeted.
The chef has been cooking the same menu of 35 sides, soups, cold dishes and sauces, mostly Nigerian cuisine.
The current record for the longest cooking marathon is held by Lata Tondon, having completed the task in 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds in Rewa, India, in 2019
