Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has revealed that he has written a book capturing the last ten years, under the rule of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The former Garissa Township MP made the sentiments on Wednesday night, during an interview on Citizen TV.

In his pronouncement, he intimated that he opted to write the book after he was removed as National Assembly Majority Leader in 2020.

"Soon am launching my book. After I left the leader of Majority [seat] I had free time so I put something. The title f the book is a very controversial book. For the record," Duale said.

"The book is about politics of deceit and Jubilee decade of power," he added.

He said the book is ready and will be launched next year.

In his new role as CS after serving in parliament for 15 years, Duale says he missed his constituents, and parliament and has lost touch with most of his friends in the legislation circles.

"I have lost parliament, colleagues, and the parliament staff. I lived there for 15 years, 10 as a majority leader. I have lost friends I had made as a lawmaker. Lost my constituency. I used to go there every fortnight. They are not happy. Garissa people are not happy,"

"I was at Jamia Mosque today and the sheikhs told me that they will miss me. I represented the voice of the community well,"

As a former lawmaker, Duale has urged young parliamentarians to use the opportunity in parliament to build themselves.

"I miss parliament. The chamber is where you have premium time. Most MPs don't use that platform. It is the best platform because you have the freedom of speech and thoughts," he noted.

On the deployment of Kenyan troops to DRC, Duale said the main objective of the EAC team was to enforce peace.

He also said the region had also tried other avenues of restoring peace in Eastern parts of Congo, among them bilateral talks.

Duale was appointed the Defence CS by President William Ruto, forcing him to resign as the Garissa Township MP.

He has been the area MP since 2007.
