Turkana intelligence officer dies by suicide

An intelligence officer based in Turkana County has died by suicide.

According to police reports, the body of Aloise Lihutsu was, on Tuesday, found hanging in the kitchen store in his house in Naiwatorong Sub-Location with a manila rope around the neck.

"The officer's body was swollen, with blood oozing from the mouth and the nose," the police report said.

Turkana County Intelligence Coordinator, Peter Onyango who reported the matter at Lodwar Police Station at 9:45pm on Tuesday, October 24 said his attention was drawn by a foul smell and blood flowing from Lihutsu's house at 7: 45pm.

The officer lived about three kilometres from Lodwar Police Station.

His body was moved to Lodwar County Referral Hospital morgue.
