The Supreme Court is set for Tuesday's August 30, 2022, pre-trial conference that starts at exactly 11 am at the Milimani Ceremonial Hall, Nairobi.

Addressing the press, the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Ann Amadi saidseven the conference will be attended by all seven judges of the Supreme Court who will hear the presidential petition arising from the August 9 polls. However, the number of those scheduled to attend will be restricted because of the limited space at the venue.

"All the seven judges of the Supreme Court will be present, remember the last season we only had six judges participating. We have some observers and judges from the Commonwealth Countries led by retired Chief Justice of Tanzania Mohammed Chande Othman," Amadi announced.

Among those expected to also attend are; four lawyers of each interested party, 11 observers, the entire legal team from the Chief Justice's office and at least 20 entities who have applied to be amici curiae (friends of the court).

"All the applications are being considered and all the rulings will be delivered to the respective parties electronically before tomorrow [August 30, 2022]. But we have extra space outside the courtroom where those who will miss can seat and follow the proceedings," Amadi said.
