Baringo Senator Gideon Moi yesterday condoled with the family of former Managing Director Agricultural Finance Corporation, the late Gideon Toroitich Kibet.

Gideon who was in the company of Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot visited them at their Nakuru home where family members, friends and relatives converged.

Toroitich died on Thursday after a sudden illness.

Gideon mourned Toroitich as a steadfast man who portrayed the value of family.

“Losing a parent is very painful, if you are expecting then you have time to prepare yourself but when it is sudden you are still in limbo,” Gideon said.

He encouraged the family to be strong and believe in the Lord and accept His will.

Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui on his part said Toroitich was a principled man who did not shy from saying what he believed in.

“He was firm and committed to his beliefs. Our condolences to the family and friends at this time of mourning,” posted Kinyanjui.

Governor Kinyanjui said Toroitich’s contribution to the growth and prosperity of Nakuru was tangible both as a farmer and hotelier.

Toroitich died aged 78. He left behind a widow and six children.
