The bad blood between Governor Nderitu Gachagua and Members of the County Assembly continued to play out yesterday as they skipped Mashujaa Day celebrations held at the Dedan Kimathi Kamukunji grounds.

Deputy Governor Samuel Wamathai read Mr Gachagua's speech, saying only that the governor was away on official duty.

Gachagua has not appeared at any public event since surviving an impeachment motion by the MCAs for alleged misappropriation of funds last month.

This is the first national event the governor has skipped.
