The highly anticipated Nyanza Golf Club Captain's Prize 2025, spearheaded by Captain Thomas Odongo, got off to a thrilling start on Wednesday with the Clubnite competition.

The four-day extravaganza, featuring various exciting activities, culminates this Saturday with the Captain's Prize main event.

Nicholas Odhiambo emerged victorious in the 18-hole category, clinching the top spot with an impressive 38 points.

Despite fierce competition, Clifford Agumbi claimed second place with an equal score of 38 points but lost on countback. Vitalis Asewe rounded off the podium with a commendable 37 points.

In the 9-hole category, Jackson Ulira and Ismael Noo tied at the top with 19 points each. Ulira secured the win on countback, showcasing consistency and precision over the short course.

Meanwhile, Paul Njenga dominated the guest category with a stellar 20 points, earning the applause of the spectators. On the lighter side of the competition, Alice Gondi took home the "Piga Mingi" title with 18 points, keeping the spirit of fun alive at the event.
