U15 La Masia FC has won the 2025 Mng'aro mtaani SUNE Charity Cup championship for the third consecutive time after beating Tedd Soccer 2-1.
Simon Kimamo scored the two goals in first half. Desmond Ondiegi pulled one back for Tedd Soccer in the second half.
Kimamo was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Lucky Summer Queens beat Ngomongo Girls 1-0 to finish third in the tournament. The lone goal was scored by Queency Atelo in the first half.
The fifth edition U15-13 event attracted 16 teams this year. The three-day tournament featuring 'Gender equality for Sports development', included girls in their teams.
"At the group stage, we lost confidence of winning because every team we met was too strong," said La Masia coach James Wilberforce.
"We are very happy and proud for being the title holders. We are now going to intensify our training ahead of the forthcoming FKF Elite League."
"During the long holidays, many young people venture into wrong activities which may lead to them dropping out of school. The aim of putting them together is for gender equality," said tournament director Sam Omol.
The Finland Ambassador Pirka Tapiola graced the occasion.
