Kenya Police Bullets are confident of qualifying for the 2024-2025 CAF Champions League ahead of the ultimate showdown in this year’s Cecafa finals.

The local champions are set to face Ethiopia’s CBE Women Club today at the Abebe Bikila Stadium with only one ticket available to secure the coveted spot in the continental games.

All eyes will be on the seasoned tactician, head coach Beldine Odemba, who has been pivotal in steering the team to this point.

Odemba, known for her strategic acumen, is preparing her squad for what could be the most crucial test of their journey so far.

“The players have the zeal to win; it’s a mind game, and we look forward to significant honours,” said Odemba after putting the team through their final training session yesterday.

She emphasised the importance of mental fortitude and tactical discipline, underscoring that success would hinge on outsmarting the opposition and maintaining composure under pressure.

Harambee Starlets’ captain, Aneddy Kundu, is expected to play a vital role in the final, bringing her leadership and experience to the forefront.

Odemba’s strategy will likely revolve around rekindling the attacking prowess that led them to victory, combined with a solid defensive setup to stifle their opponents.

Police Bullets team manager Beatrice Kiraguri says the journey to Cecafa glory is inspirational.

The club’s executive chairman, Nyale Munga praised the team for reaching the final.

“We are now East Africa’s powerhouse, and nothing will deter us from pursuing major glory. This unwavering determination makes Police Bullets FC a team to watch,” Munga said.
