Sofapaka secured a 2-0 aggregate victory against Naivas FC in their FKF Premier League promotion playoff match played over the weekend at Dandora Stadium.

Sofapaka entered the second leg with a 1-0 advantage, a late Jacob Onyango goal the difference between the sides.

The match began with Naivas creating several promising goal-scoring opportunities, clearly signaling their intent to overturn the deficit.

However, Sofapaka took the lead in the dying minutes of the first half, with Darius Msagha finding Andre Kalama, who scored in the 43rd minute.

This goal not only gave Sofapaka the lead going into halftime but also proved to be the winning goal of the match.

With this victory, Sofapaka successfully retained their FKF PL status for the 2024/25 season, while Naivas FC will have to regroup and prepare for another season in the FKF NSL.
