With a few more mountains left to climb, Ngara B hope to maintain their competitive edge as they seek to tame third-placed Stray Leopards B in a Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) 50-Overs Division 2 home match slated for Ngara Sports Club in South C on Sunday.

With the Super Division, Division 1 and 3 titles already taken, the cut-throat race for Division Two promises to treat fans to some exhilarating displays.

Kanbis B already have the Division One 50 Overs League-2024 title in the bag following heroic measures they have taken to decimate their crease adversaries.

Samaj Development and Kanbis B recently emerged champions in Division 3 and Division 1 respectively, serving up great moments ahead in Division 2 category.

Doggedly Set

Ngara B currently top the NPCA Division 2 log on 32 after 10 matches, two points clear of Stray Lions C who have played 9 matches.

Ngara Sports Club Team Manager Harsh Patel expressed optimism about his B side's determination after their A team lost the Division One title to Kanbis B.

Harsh commented: “Firstly, I'd like to congratulate Kanbis A for winning Division 1; as for Division 2 our boys (Ngara B) are good enough to reach the pinnacle. We will come hard and fight hard to try and come top."

"Today, as a manager, I am quite happy to see the amount of growth in our players who play matches worthy of their talent,” Harsh added.

In another Division Two match Obuya B plays host to An-nadil Jamaly at Lenana.

Division One

The NPCA Division One continues on Sunday at various venues.

Ngara SC A play Obuya A at Ngara SC in a match that could potentially determine who settles for second place.

Kanbis B have already racked up an unassailable lead of 44 which cannot be surpassed by either Ngara A and Obuya A, no matter what.

Obuya A and Ngara A are placed second and third respectively on the Division 1 log incidentally with 34 points apiece, and separated on Net Run Rate (NRR).

At Samaj grounds in Nairobi West, hosts SCLPS YL B have a date with Swamibapa B.

Sir Ali B take on Gymkhana B at Sir Ali while Ruaraka B host Sikh Union B at Ruaraka Sports Club.
