Menengai Oilers will be seeking to kick off their 2024-2025nKenya Cup campaign on the fron foot when they begin their campaign at home against Kisumu RFC, buoyed by a solid preseason.

Head coach Gibson Weru is confident in his squad's readiness, citing the recently concluded Impala Floodlit tournament as a valuable learning platform.

“The tournament was a good source of feedback on areas that are strong and those that need improvement. Preparation has been good, and the competition within the squad is healthy. We’re keeping each other honest.”

The tactician emphasised the team’s inward focus.

“The biggest challenge lies within—how much can we improve as individuals and as a team? That growth will translate to how we play. We’ll focus on ourselves because the growth within has no limits," said Weru.
