Shujaa name 10 debutants for the 2024 Paris Olympic games

Kenya Sevens head coach Kevin Wambua has announced the Shujaa squad heading to Paris for the 2024 Olympics games.

“The team has been in camp, and we are pleased with how well we have gelled together. Each player has shown dedication and commitment, both on and off the field. We are ready to give our very best at the Olympics.

“Our preparation has been intense, focusing on refining our skills and strategies. We are determined to represent Kenya with pride and aim to make a significant impact in Paris.

“With the support of our fans and the nation behind us, we are confident in our abilities and look forward to competing at the highest level,” said Kevin Wambua

With a dynamic team ready to represent Kenya on the global stage, the squad comprises 12 main players, two traveling reserves, and one training reserve who will join the team at their training camp in Miramas.

Brian Mutua and Salem are currently in Mauritius for the Africa 7s and won’t be 100% fit for next week. Brian Mutugi will join the squad for the training camp in Miramas and will return home when the team travels to the Olympic Village.

Shujaa are pooled against Argentina, Australia, and Samoa. The team’s preparation and determination will be crucial as they aim to make a significant impact at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
