Rugby enthusiasts across Kenya are gearing up for an action-packed season as the 2024 SportPesa National Sevens Circuit schedule has been officially announced.

The circuit promises thrilling matches and intense competition, kicking off with the Christie Sevens set to take place on July 27th and 28th at the RFUEA Ground in Nairobi.

The circuit, a staple in Kenya's rugby calendar, will witness top teams battling it out over six events spread across different cities and towns.

After the Christie Sevens in Nairobi, the circuit moves to Kakamega for the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Sevens on August 3rd and 4th, replacing the Tisap Sevens and organized by the Kenya Rugby Union.

Following a brief break, teams will head to Kisumu for the Dala Sevens on August 17th and 18th, followed by the prestigious George Mwangi Kabeberi Memorial Sevens on August 24th and 25th, with the venue yet to be confirmed.

The action-packed circuit resumes after another short break, this time in Mombasa for the Driftwood Sevens on September 7th and 8th, before culminating in Nakuru for the Prinsloo Sevens on September 14th and 15th at the Nakuru Athletic Club.

Each tournament within the circuit holds significant weight as teams strive for victory and crucial points towards the overall circuit title. The season's champion will be determined based on accumulated points from these high-stakes competitions.

KCB enters this season as the defending champions, having secured the title in the previous year's circuit.

They will undoubtedly face fierce competition from other top contenders eager to claim the coveted championship.

Rugby fans and players alike are eagerly anticipating the kickoff of the circuit, which promises not only exhilarating matches but also showcases the immense talent and passion for rugby in Kenya.
