Tigoi Girls High School and Musingu Boys High School are the 2024 Brookside KSSSA national hockey girls’ and boys’ champions respectively.

The Western region champions saw off their Nyanza and Rift Valley counterparts respectively to dominate hockey in Machakos.

Tigoi Girls edged out Nyamira Girls 2-1 in the finals played at Machakos University grounds on Saturday.

Tigoi got off to a perfect start after going up 2-0 in the opening five minutes after converting their short corners.

An Amanda Wamalwa penalty flick in the second quarter did little to change history as Tigoi won their first ever national hockey title.

At the same grounds, Musingu School white washed St Anthony’s Boys Kitale 3-2 to retain the hockey title in the five-goal thriller match.

Musingu who had lost 2-1 to St Anthony’s during the preliminary stages asserted their revenge and once again proved that they are the best in hockey.
