Raphael Ndungire rules Nakuru tourney

With a total of 44 stableford points, handicap 26 Raphael Ndungire went home a happy man after winning Crown Paints Golf title at Nakuru Golf Club on Saturday.
Coming at a time scooping sponsored titles are becoming competitive at the club, he beat a field of over 130 golfers to win the coveted title after a number of past failed spirited attempts.
"Winning today was a special achievement to me and I'm thrilled to have come out on top. What made it more enjoyable in the course was the cameradie displayed between our group when playing," he told Standard Sports.
Coming runners up was Javan Muriithi on 42 points who won the Division One Championships ahead of veteran Prakash Shah who posted 40 points.
James Ndegwa and John Dantier with a total of 43 and 41 stable ford points were Division Two winners and runners up respectively with former Chairman Steve Kihumba snatching the Sponsor's title on 36 points.
Kihumba appealed to the club members to work in cohesion with the incumbent executive to steer the club in the glory of achieving developments having bought a multi-million tractor for green keeping mission last weekend.
"Working in cohesion will make us achieve more development programmes with the incumbent and future executive if we work harmoniously by giving each other time," he advised.
And for the second consecutive week, Eleanor Wambui emerged as the longest drive lady winner after last weekend's triumph in Kecoso Championships. Sarat Singh won it for the men.
With a total of 40 stableford points, Ann Nduati scooped the lady's title with Jack Musomba who posted 29 strolling home as the guest winner.
