Harambee Stars interim Head Coach Francis Kimanzi released the final list of 24 players selected to represent Kenya in the upcoming Mapinduzi Cup, set to begin on Friday in Pemba Island.
The team, which has been in a residential training camp in preparation for the tournament, traveled to Pemba on January 2, 2025.
“We had a large squad initially because we wanted to analyse and give all a chance to show what they can do. All the 40 that were in camp from the onset are really quality players but we needed just 24 for Mapinduzi Cup. We now have a base that we will build on ahead of CHAN,” Interim Head Coach Francis Kimanzi said.
The competition will provide a platform for the Harambee Stars to continue their preparations for upcoming CHAN.
