KCB opened a three-point lead at the top of the FKF Premier League standings after a second half masterclass saw the 10-man bankers come from 1-0 down at the break to win 4-1 against Kakamega Homeboyz at St. Sebastian Park on Saturday.

Moses Shumah gave the visitors an early seventh minute lead, a 1-0 advantage Homeboyz carried to half time.

However, the bankers who had not yet conceded any goal until Shumah’s strike came from the changing rooms more aggressive and would be rewarded 10 minutes after the restart when James Kinyanjui restored parity with a 56th minute goal for 1-1.

Kinyanjui turned from goal scorer to provider in the 68th minute as his corner was met by Maurice Ojwang, who rose the highest to give KCB a 2-1 lead.

Ten minutes later, Faraj Ominde struck home the third goal for KCB with Kinyanjui claiming another assist.

Vincent Ondabu put the icing on KCB's cake with the fourth goal, and his first since joining the club, in the 84th minute.

KCB were however reduced to 10 men after Faraj Ominde was handed his marching orders for a second bookable offence.

In Migori, newbies Mara Sugar also extended their fine start after beating Shabana 1-0 at the Awendo Green Stadium.

Joseph Okwenda scored the all-important goal late in second half to enable his side register the third win of the season.

His goal also condemned Shabana to their first defeat of the season in a game that the visiting fans made good of their threat to boycott matches until their grievances are heard.
