The National Super League (NSL) is set for an exciting matchday 2 this weekend, following an action-packed opening round that saw several teams make strong starts.

On Saturday, SS Assad, fresh from a convincing 2-0 win over Samwest, will host Naivas FC at the Ukunda Showgrounds. Naivas will be looking to bounce back after a narrow 0-1 defeat to MOFA in their opening fixture.

Meanwhile, Mombasa United will seek redemption at Serani Sports Complex after falling 0-2 to APS Bomet last week, as they face a Samwest side also hoping to recover from their defeat.

Vihiga United, who kicked off their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over MCF, will host Muhoroni Youth at the Mumias Sports Complex.

Muhoroni Youth, after losing 0-1 to Dimba Patriots, will need a turnaround to avoid falling further behind in the standings. Over at Olooloitikosh, Dimba Patriots, who started strong with a 1-0 victory, will welcome MCF in what promises to be a competitive encounter.

Sunday’s fixtures continue the excitement, with Nairobi United set to host Nzoia Sugar at Dandora Stadium. Nairobi United, fresh from a 2-1 win over Mombasa Stars, will be confident, but Nzoia Sugar is no pushover after a 1-1 draw with Fortune Sacco.

In Kawangware, Kibera Black Stars will be aiming to recover from their 0-1 loss to Luanda Villa as they take on Darajani Gogo, who secured a 1-0 win against Migori Youth.

Over in Migori, Kisumu Allstars will be desperate to recover from a shocking 0-4 loss to 3K FC when they face Migori Youth.

As matchday 2 approaches, all eyes are on teams looking to secure early dominance in the NSL.
