FKF-PL: Day of draws as 2024-2025 season kicks off on low

The 2024-2025 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League season kicked off on a low note on Saturday with three matches ending draws with former champions Tusker the only side to bag maximum points.

Bandari rallied from behind to force a 1-1 draw with Posta Rangers in the early-kick off match played at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Henry Juma scored the first goal of the new campaign after finding the back of the net for hosts Rangers in the 27th minute to lead 1-0 at the break.

However, Beja Nyamawi rescued a point for the dockers who forced a 1-1 draw.

At Thika Stadium, Shabana were denied opening day victory by Bidco United who also came from behind to force a 1-1 draw.

Mathew Tegisi gave Shabana a 1-0 half time lead after netting in the third minute of the match before the hosts restored parity through Douglas Mokaya in the 49th minute.

KCB on the other hand played out to a 0-0 draw against Kariobangi Sharks at Police Sacco Stadium.

Tusker, the only winners of the day narrowly saw off Sofapaka 1-0 at Machakos Stadium.

Chrspine Erambo netted the winner in the 61st minute to hand the brewers maximum points and early season lead at the top of the table.
