Kenya Police to highlight future stars in a day of soccer and celebration

Thousands of soccer enthusiasts are set to flock to the Police DT Stadium on Saturday, for the much-anticipated annual Kenya Police FC Day.

The event, running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., promises a full day of thrilling soccer action, highlighted by the unveiling of Kenya Police FC's new stars and the squads aiming for continental honors in both the men's and women's teams.

The event will be graced by distinguished guests, including Sports Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo, Inspector General designate Douglas Kirocho Kanja, and the club’s Executive Chairman, SAIG Nyale Munga. Their presence underscores the significance of this event in the Kenyan sports calendar.

Carol Kiambi, Vice Chair of the Kenya Police FC Board of Trustees, emphasized the importance of the day, stating, "We are thrilled to present the annual Police FC Day to celebrate our unsung heroes and to unveil the new generation of soccer stars as we aim for major honors on the continent."

The day’s highlight will be the clash between Kenya Police FC and Shabana FC at 3 p.m., following a morning showdown between Police Bullets and Mathare Women FC.

Fans can also look forward to exhibition matches involving the Police FC Media Team, Police DT Sacco FC, and other teams.

Adding to the excitement, top Kenyan music acts will perform, ensuring a lively atmosphere for all attendees. Sponsored by Police DT Sacco Stadium, Coca-Cola, and the Police Board of Trustees, this year’s event promises to be a celebration of community, talent, and the bright future of Kenyan soccer.
