With three games to go, third-placed Naivas with 67 points and fourth-placed Nairobi United with 63 points cannot catch up with Mara Sugar and thus the sugar men punching their ticket.
The sugar millers were promoted to the National Super League (NSL) in 2021 after clinching the football Kenya Federation Division One title in Zone B.
Naivas remained in the chase for a playoff slot after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mully Children’s Family (MCF) at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
Dimba Patriots thrashed a hapless Gusii FC 5-0 consequently sending the Kisii-based into relegation while Darajani Gogo saw off Migori Youth 1-0.
Naivas (67points) and Mathare United (74 points) will now chase the remaining automatic qualification slot with three matches left.
The team that will finish third will play in a winner takes it all relegation and promotion playoff against the 16th ranked team from the FKF Premier League.
