The battle to secure the sole ticket to play in the CAF Confederation Cup next season will continue on Sunday as four FKF Premier League teams face off in the semi-finals of the FKF Cup at Police Sacco Stadium.

KCB will get the cup competition underway when they tackle exciting Kariobangi Sharks in an early kick off match (12pm) before AFC Leopards take on Kenya Police at 3pm.

Ingwe who have won the cup ten-times in their history face Police for the third time hoping to transform their dominance over Police in the league into the domestic cup.

In fact, Leopards are unbeaten against Police in the FKF Premier League in their four meetings so far including two this season.

Victor Omune scored the solitary goal when Ingwe saw off Police 1-0 during their second leg match played on May 15 after having drawn 2-2 in September last year in the first leg.

Leopards captain Clifton Miheso believes if they give their all and their fans rally behind them, they will continue with their run towards securing a ticket to continental showpiece.

“The semi-final match against Police is a pivotal moment for our team this season. We have worked hard to get to this point and need to bring our best game and give everything we’ve got on the field. Every player is fully committed to giving their best performance, and we are ready to face the challenge head-on,” Miheso told the club’s media.

“To our amazing fans, your support means the world to us. Your energy and encouragement drive us forward, especially in critical matches like this one. We need you to stand with us, cheer us, and believe in us as we fight for victory.”

Ingwe shot stopper Levis Opiyo echoed his captains’ sentiments stating that the cup presents them with a perfect chance of winning a silverware this season.

“As players, we all know the importance of this match. It is our only chance to win silverware this season. We will do anything possible to make sure that we qualify for the finals,” said Opiyo.
