The late Benga Queen Lilian Auma’s (Princess Jully) children are appealing for financial assistance to clear the hospital bill and foot burial expenses.
The Dunia Mbaya hit maker’s three children have appealed to the public to help them give their mother a descent send off.
Walter Ogudah, Jully's eldest son, said the family needs Sh1.7 million to clear the hospital bill and foot burial expenses.
“We are short of funds and are appealing for financial support that would help us clear hospital bill and give our mum a befitting send-off,” Ogudah said.
He said that they were also negotiating with Migori County Referral Hospital management to help waiver the hospital bill.

Princess Jully who was popularly known by her fans as Alili Panadol died at around 4pm on October 12, 2024.
She had been diagnosed with Kidney failure.
The Benga queen died while receiving treatment at Migori County Referral Hospital where she was admitted to the High Dependency Unit (HDU) for two months.
Princess Jully rose to fame when she sung her hit song ‘Dunia Mbaya’ which was inspired by how she saw her friends die, owing to the lifestyle they lived.
The Dunia Mbaya hit played a critical role in creating awareness on HIV/Aids.
The song bird who was married as a third wife to the late Jully Okumu (Prince Jully) also produced Malo Malo and Akuru among other songs.
The queen of Benga who is fondly referred to as Alili Nyagina or Alili Panadol and had been out of the music scene for quite some time before returning in 2020.
She will be laid to rest on November 7, 2024 at her home in Bondo Nyironge village, Suna West Sub-County, Migori county.
