About 1.3 million Grade 6 pupils have begun writing the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations this morning.
This is the 3rd cohort to write the national examinations under the Competence-Based Curriculum.
According to the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) the pupils are to be assessed in Mathematics and English.
President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto have extended their best wishes to the learners.
“We are proud of you as the third CBC cohort to sit this exam,” the joint message read in part.
For the 2024 academic year, KPSEA exams started with a rehearsal on Friday, October 25.
On Tuesday, the students will write tests for Kiswahili, Integrated Science and Sign Language tests the finish the examinations with and Creative Arts & Social studies tests on Wednesday.
