Nyandarua County Assembly approves CEC nominees

Nyandarua County Assembly has approved Governor Kiarie Badilisha's County Executive Cabinet (CEC) nominees.

Speaker Wachira Waiganjo, who chaired the Committee on Appointments, said the nominees have requisite qualifications and experience to serve in their respective positions.

"The members have gone under thorough vetting and they have all qualified. It is now their time to serve the people of Nyandarua," he said yesterday.

The CEC nominees are former Kinangop MP Mburu Kinyanjui (Roads and Public Works), Paul Maina Wanjau (Public Service, Administration and Devolution), Francis Njoroge Miring'u (Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries), Samuel Wachira Mugo (Water, Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources), Dr Zakayo Gichuki (Health).

Others are Cecilia Wangari Kirira (Education, Children, Gender Affairs, Culture and Social Services), Agnes Wamahiga Njunji (Tourism, Cooperative Development, Trade and Industrialisation), John Ndung'u Muiru (Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development), Catherine Njeri Gitau (Youth Empowerment, Sports and the Arts) and Mary Wanjiku Kamande (Finance, Economic Planning and ICT).

The assembly also approved Joseph Gatore Shadrack as the County Attorney.
