Man arrested, bull detained after killing 60-year-old woman

A Kakamega man has been arrested and his bull detained after it killed a 60-year-old woman identified as Felistus Iteva.

The incident happened at Khayega market, Kakamega County.

According to Iteva’s family, the deceased had gone to a nearby market when the bull attacked her causing serious bodily harm that led to her death.

The bull has been participating in the famous Western Kenya bullfighting rounds.

Locals want it killed to avoid similar occurrences in future.

The bull and its owner will be detained for 14 days pending investigations as ordered by a Shinyalu court.
