Willy Paul speaks on his alleged role in Sharon Otieno’s murder case

Gospel artiste Wilson Abubakar Radido aka Willy Paul has reacted to claims that he was paid to distract the public from Sharon Otieno’s murder case.

This is after his latest hit ‘Bora Uhai’ took the entertainment scene by storm.

The song that features popular rapper Khaligraph Jones sparked a barrage of reactions from his followers who are not sure whether it is a gospel track.

“Still trending at number 1.. #Borauhai ft @khaligraph_jones New music.. and for those of you saying that I've been paid by the government to bring distraction kwa story ya the late #Sharon .. please get your facts right.

“That's a very sensitive issue. And the people involved should be arrested and charged in a court of law,” said the singer.

Sharon Otieno was a student at Rongo University and was abducted and brutally murdered last week.

She was in the company of Nation journalist Barack Oduor who managed to get away from the kidnappers upon noticing something was amiss.

Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s PA Michael Oyamo was adversely mentioned in the events surrounding the abduction and is currently locked up at Muthaiga Police station as detectives seek to bring the matter to an end.

Obado, on his part, has distanced himself from the murder and urged the relevant authorities to speed up the investigations and bring the perpetrators to book.

The deceased’s family on Wednesday asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to step in and ensure justice for their daughter who was a second-year student.

Her father Douglas Otieno rejected Obado’s condolence message saying: “I don’t know about his condolence messages and I don’t even wish to know. If they were meant for you (media), just keep them to yourselves.

“I have nothing to do with them. He (Obado) has never been my friend and has not been close to me so I don’t want to know about them (condolences),” he said.
