Nyamira Governor Nyagarama offers free drinks to crowd - triggers stampede

If nothing to go by, John Nyagarama, Nyamira governor, may have found just a hint on what his constituents prefer most.

He bought free drinks for them but the thirsty and hungry members of the society opted for a free of all and came out for themselves.

In the Bible, when a hungry crowd went to listen to Jesus, he gave them bread and fish thereafter; and when this crowd went to listen to their governor, he had to figure out how to quench their thirst amidst the heat of the ongoing political campaigns.

He bought free drinks for them, which triggered a stampede as thirsty residents scrambled for a share.

Some clearly took more than their share.
