Major fallaout looms in Jubilee as leaders present lovers and cronies for nomination to parliament

Major backlash in Jubilee party is looming in Uasin Gishu County as a list of people longing for nomination slots to the National Assembly, Senate and MCAs is being scrutinized over claims that the area party leaders having names of their lovers submitted to IEBC.

Sections of the leaders who lost during Jubilee party primaries have raised an alarm that local leaders are having their close associates and girlfriends being considered for the representation chances.

Mr Phillip Chebunet and Abraham Mutwol addressed the media in Eldoret and called for selectin of new prospect nominees and demanded the current one is revoked as it has damaging blemishes.

The leaders have given the party a seven day ultimatum to meet their demands, else they will move to court to challenge the move to nominate people they found undeserving.

"The proposed list is full of friends, relatives, girlfriends, lovers and personal assistants of party nominees and officials," claimed Mutwol.

Mr Abraham Mutwol was a candidate for the senate seat and lost in the party nominations.

Jubilee party has been encouraging those who did not get the party ticket to support their candidates promising to consider them for unclear job opportunities in county and national government positions.

“We want a free and comprehensive process of identifying individuals to be considered for nomination where everybody is involved and if nothing will be done the we will have no option but to move to court to seek redress," added Chebunet.

The leaders decried being isolated despite having made major financial contributions for the party by paying close to 50 million as nomination fees.
