Looming crisis as Sanator Moi moves to meet President Uhuru over DP Ruto

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has said KANU members have raised concerns over claims of derogatory remarks from the Deputy President William Ruto directed to some of the party leaders prompting him to meet the President Uhuru.

He has accused Ruto of being among Jubilee party politicians that were insulting them and that the trend would affect their partnership in helping the president secure a second term.

Senator Moi, who was speaking during the manifesto launch of KANU party’s candidate for Narok South parliamentary seat Silvester Ntutu, said it was unfortunate that that elected leaders were being denied a chance to express their views and he would move to meet the president over the matter.

He spoke after KANU Secretary General Nick Salat and Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno who accused Jubilee leaders of disrespecting and tainting the image of some leaders from the Rift Valley.

Moi in his address urged the deputy president to respect other leaders.

Emurua Dikir MP warned that if the Deputy President fails to honor the plea, he would rally his supporters and the residents behind the opposition.

“We will ask Presidnet Uhuru to guide him. If he fails to do that, we will direct our voters to support NASA,” said Mr Ngeno.

Mr Ng’eno said that they had resolved to support Senator Moi’s bid for presidency in 2022 and that the Jubilee deputy party leader should forget about the 2022 national politics.

KANU secretary general Nick Salat echoed Mr Ngeno’s remarks pointing out to their disappointment in the sentiments made by some leaders in the President’s camp.
