According to the residents, the woman had neglected her children to an extent of them getting seriously infested with jiggers. The jiggers made the children experience hardship in walking.

They were hardly attending school because of their conditions. It is also alleged that the woman left the children with no food.

They said that the woman carries sugar in her handbag so that the children don’t access it and cook tea while she is away.

“This woman is always away and when she leaves the house she hardly cooks for her six children or she just give them tea until evening. She carries sugar in her handbag and hides flour from the kids that is why her children are emaciated like this,” said one of the residents.
