As the General Election draws near politician are upping their game to make sure that they outsmart their rivals. They are not leaving anything to chance as they seek to be elected.

It is now clear the presidential race has tightened with each political divide seeking to oust President Uhuru Kenyatta. On the other hand, President Uhuru is vigorously campaigning to ensure he is re-elected come August 8th.

This takes me to a man who has declared that he is serious about making sure that he takes the leadership mantle from President Uhuru.

Presidential aspirant Kennedy Mongare has hinted that he is now ready to receive those who are seeking nomination on his National Liberal Party (NLP).

According to him, his party is going to provide a good nomination platform for women and those with disabilities.

A move that will attract more aspirants to the party and probably a high number of those who will be elected on the party's ticket.

“The party will give special consideration to aspirants representing special groups and may not be able to raise the nomination fee,” said Mong’are.

In the party’s bid to ensure that they get potential winners Mong’are has said that they will criss-cross the entire country to bring on board, serious leaders.

Mong’are further said that he has the potential of leading this county given that he is from a humble background and he understands the problems that the common mwananchi go through.

Apparently, he has called upon the Gusiis’ to accord him the necessary support so that he can be embraced by other communities across the country.
