Kakamega police are on spot for allegedly killing a pastor during their raid on a changaa den.This has caused chaos in the region with the residents taking to the street to complain about the police brutality.

Confirming the incident Ikolomani OCPD Mr. Mkhoi said that Ernest Shikoli was killed by a stray bullet as the police perused the drunkards who were taking a local brew.

The resident took to the street on Saturday blocking the Kakamega Kisumu road as they complained about the incident.
It was discovered that the police officers came all the way from Kakamega to Ikolomani something that is against the law.

Each and every police officer has his area of jurisdiction and he or she has no authority to cross to other areas and work there without permission from the concerned authorities.

Ikolomani Mp Benard Shinali asked the Inspector General of police Joseph Boinet to take action against those police officers who committed the crime.

He further said that it is wrong for the police to harass the locals in the name of raiding changaa dens.Shinali said he will ensure that action is taken against those police officers.

“ I will make sure that those police officers who killed shikoli are arrest and action taken against them,” said Shinali.

Meanwhile, Kakamega police have launched investigations into the matter and they assured the residents that action will be taken against those police officers.
