Remarkably chipper all through the Kenyatta Cup, Manzhouli (Charles Njenga), held on to freeze Iced Waterwall by a small margin on Sunday at Ngong.

Trained by Steve Njuguna, Manzhouli’s dam is the famous Lora Lee. Manzhouli already has 8 wins and 11 places to his name, all for proud owner, Mary Binks.

Stunted by a sophisticated Red Raider, Public Hero and Mkuki had no response in the Zariba Cup, unwittingly assuming this race was between them.

Red Raider seemed to like the sound of his hoofs hitting hard ground, while plenty just accepted such rigorous conditions, cautiously.
