KEEP THE HUSTLE GOING

Perhaps you have come across those  photos of men on the street neatly dressed some in suit and  those African dressing code quite presentable and seen what they did for a leaving, maize seller, fruit vendor,  wiping car windscreen on the street in a suit then you seat back and ask yourself this is real! The truth is that they are not doing anything special but what they do they do it in a special way.

Naturally we are supposed to be aggressive in making those end meet when we reach that age that responsibility start hitting in, unfortunately young men have become so lazy to even put food on their own mouth, we want an overnight turn of  events and nobody wants to toil to make that success a reality.

We read so many articles about men and women who have made it despite the odds, Aliko Dangote and everyone is like wow! I want to be there to, the questions we never ask ourselves is, how did he even get to that point? We google search about James Mwangi and immediately everyone is intrigued with the idea that he's one of the best paid C.E.O in Kenya but none is interested with how he got to that point, Bob Collymore, Tabitha Karanja the core founder of Keroche I mean we are so good in finding out the best but not working our best way out, maybe we have forgotten the old saying Rome was never build in one day, success is a journey period.

Many things are bound to come along the way not meant to discourage us but for the purpose of learning so that when we approach our destination, we do not make those silly mistakes that would jeopardize everything we have worked for.

A common habit in Mombasa young boys seated aimlessly in groups taking the favorite delicacy of Mira and a few bottles of soda, from morning to evening, shamelessly they walk back home late as if coming from any activity presumed to be nation building then we complain Kenya hakuna kazi. Its okay, the job you dream of may not be available but what have you done to change the situation?

Let the Kenyan youth know this, there are no jobs but we can create jobs if we stop lazing around like people with no vision hoping for a jackpot one fine morning. Simple experiment, take a close study of your own-self, observe your characters, do they have anything in common with success?

Is your attitude geared towards the right direction? Are your friends compromising your path towards achievement? If yes, it’s high time you dropped them. Associate yourself with people who bring out the best in you, not those who want to keep you at their level.

Time flies, very soon you will be old and that’s not the moment to think, I should have done this! On your deathbed you won’t regret the things you did but rather the things you didn’t.  So keep the hustle going and never feel ashamed of your effort, what you do or how you do; it’s a sign that you are heading somewhere.
