Civilized and progressive societies all over the world are
governed by the rule of law. Citizens, irrespective of their status in life,
are subject to the law of the land.
The law is blind to all other considerations. That is how
nations maintain order among the subjects. In the absence of adherence to the
law, there is automatic breakdown of order.
Anarchy looms large as the rule of the jungle becomes the
order of the day. In such situations, it is a question of survival for the
fittest. Is this the scenario Kenyans want to see in their motherland?
Events unfolding in the political arena are quite alarming.
Both the elected leaders and bureaucrats have chosen to be violating the law
with impunity.
The State is hell-bent on breaking the law. What happened to
patriotism? We are doing a disservice to this great country of ours.
