The new trend in the church is worrying

The ancient prophecy are coming to life, as I plan to visit  church next Sunday I just can't help cab the debate in my mind. Will I get what I really want or just let it go and stay at home? Of late the script is about, riches and riches, big cars and big house give and not to a certain minimum! I do hate questioning things to do with religion and faith; I really do, but I invite sharing my ideas with all men.

Haven't we seen a rise of the false prophets, mushrooming of churches across the globe, increase in immorality, nations rising against each other, natural disasters never witnessed before, diseases that have no cure and a generation that embrace?. Yes sin is the inn thing bros, pastors are more concerned with the number of followers getting to churches and not those heading to heaven, crazy, but we move on.

The last time I was in church I felt motivated and uplifted,  the script was all about restoring hope in us, that one day I will be blessed, get a good job, buy the latest model of that range rover, build my own house; actually achieving great. It was a message of hope, I also learnt one thing, majority of the sermons today are following a particular line in order to keep the congregation intact. As everything is evolving pastors have realized that they too have to change with the group not unless they risk attending to the benches next Sunday.

Preaching has been reduced to inheriting the kingdom of earth and not heaven, as the Bible commanded in (Matt 6:33). Repentance is no longer a topic of discussion in our churches not unless you wish to get them bored, where is the problem? Could it be the congregation pushing the clergy men to focus more on earthly reaches than the kingdom of heaven? Churches today do not heed much on building Christians spiritually instead, endless projects that only helps get deeper into the pockets of poor Christians who are required to fund them, toiling to every bit of their penny to give so that our church could look bigger and acquire the state of the art. Which is good, after all we are God’s children we ought not to look pathetic, but at what expense?

Deep inside, does our heart correspond with the look of our churches?  We focus less on our heart and the Bible is quite clear on this, Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean. (Matt 23:26) can we start with our hearts! For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them (Matt 18:20). Jesus never asked us to do this in this big halls that we so much struggle to put up. He actually requested us to start with our hearts first. Can the churches unite to form one thing? Why do we have so many names? Some tha we don’t even understand, each with rules yet we only have the Ten Commandments to guide us in Christianity.

I always believed that regardless of where we are, we need God’s favor anywhere at any time, in our work places, at home with our families, with our friends if we gather for his sake, He is. Never stop giving; it’s healthy, as long as it comes from your heart. I was surprised that nowadays the church has gone ahead to introduce a system of tracking  down every tithe of its member, tithe is a command from God, do we have to monitor for Him and who gave his tithe this month or next month, I mean I don't get it. He is more interested with our inner part which we care less about, Jesus talked about giving, ( Mark 12:41-44).The widow here gave from  her heart and pleased Jesus, it’s not a surprise to find a Christian letting his neighbor sleep hungry, but reserve the little that he has to take to the church (HEB 13:16)

It’s only through sharing that we offer a pleasing sacrifice to our God, loving our neighbors reaching out to those needy kids, when we have much. Let’s not create walls but instead big tables and welcome those with none. Men of God shy not from preaching the true gospel, having a large congregation heading nowhere is even worse than having only two devoted people heading to heaven. Worshiping in truth and in spirit, Christians we don't have to live a lie, the truth can set us free let’s seek it.
