Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba has raised concern over lack of land for the expansion of Kitale town.

Khaemba (pictured) says he has engaged the Kenya Railways, Prisons and Forests Services to exchange or lease their lands to help facilitate the construction of more social amenities like bus terminus and a modern market to meet demands of the growing population.

He regretted that the town was established during the colonial times to serve a population of about 45,000 saying there is need to fast track the process of land acquisition to facilitate other development projects.
