Wajir South MP Mohamud Adow has called on Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to adopt a more statesmanlike approach and cease his verbal assaults on government officials.

Speaking at Habaswein during an electricity connectivity project for three settlements in Wajir South and Wajir West, Adow urged DP Gachagua to focus on constructive leadership and collaboration. 

Adow highlighted the importance of unity and respectful discourse among leaders, emphasizing that it is crucial for the country's progress and stability, especially in addressing the challenges faced by local communities.

“It’s essential for our leaders to foster unity and constructive dialogue. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua should focus on building bridges rather than creating divisions," said Adow.

Adow went on to commend the efforts of the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC) in bringing sustainable energy solutions to Wajir, saying it marked a significant milestone in expanding access to electricity in the region. 

He also underscored the transformative impact of these projects on the livelihoods of the residents, noting that reliable power supply is essential for economic growth and improved quality of services.

The MP's comments come at a time when calls for respectful and collaborative governance are growing across the country.
