Low turnout marks day two of public participation in Gachagua impeachment

Public participation in Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's impeachment continues at the constituency level, though a low turnout was reported on the second day of the process.

Residents collected participation forms at the Limuru constituency offices, but the response remained modest.

In Thika, residents of Thika Town Constituency began signing the petition following the National Assembly's extension of the impeachment process.

Locals visited the NG-CDF offices to add their signatures, although participation has been relatively slow.

The exercise is ongoing.

Yesterday, the National Assembly Clerk directed the exercise at the constituency level to allow more Kenyans to participate.

This followed a directive by the Kerugoya High Court earlier in the day.
