Judicial officers across the country have converged to mourn Makadara's Magistrate Monica Kivuti.

The officers led by Chief Justice Martha Koome converged in different courts and tribunals across the country to pay tribute to one of their own.

In solidarity, all courts and tribunals remained closed as staff and officers paid their tribute.

Kivuti died while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital, after being shot by a police officer on Thursday.

She will be buried on Saturday in Yatta Constituency, Machakos County.
