Kakamega Sports Club is gearing up to host the inaugural annual inter-club golf tournament, welcoming the Ruiru Sports Club's Early Morning Golfers team on Saturday, October 12.

Sponsored by the visiting team, the event is anticipated to draw at least 20 visiting golfers and over 40 participants from the host club.

The primary objective of the tournament is to strengthen relationships between the clubs and will also see the participation of golfers from nearby clubs such as Nandi Bears, Kitale Club, Nyanza Sports Club, Kisii Sports Club, and Kericho Sports Club.

James Anzabwa, the Captain of Kakamega Sports Club, is eagerly looking forward to the event, stating, “The tournament not only provides an opportunity for players to test and enhance their skills but also serves as a platform for fostering relationships. The course is in impeccable condition, and we anticipate a highly competitive tournament with numerous prizes up for grabs.”

J.K Muraguri, the Captain of Ruiru Sports Club, shared similar sentiments, expressing, "We are excited to take on Kakamega on their home turf, which presents a new challenge for our team. Our players have been diligently preparing for this event, we are looking forward to pitting our skills against the players from Kakamega. Beyond the competition, the tournament provides an opportunity to connect with fellow golf enthusiasts and further promote the sport in Kenya."

The tournament is set to feature a range of contests, including special competitions for Nearest to Pin, Chipping and putting challenges, as well as the Longest Drive contest.
