TSC calls applications for 20,000 intern teachers

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 20,000 jobs for teacher interns in junior secondary schools.

This is the third cohort of trained teachers as the first 46,000 teachers are presently being placed in permanent and pensionable terms.

This is part of the government drive to support and enhance human capacity for the competency-based curriculum implementation.

The one-year internship programme aims to equip teachers with practical teaching experience and address shortage of teachers .

Applicants must hold at least a Diploma in Education with a minimum grade of C+ in two teaching subjects.

The interns will be eligible for a monthly stipend of Sh20,000. Applications close on November 4.
