Raila to unveil vision for AUC Chairmanship bid in Addis

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is set to unveil his vision and priorities for African Union Chairmanship (AUC) Chairmanship bid tomorrow in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This is according to a public communication from Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event is scheduled to take place from 5pm to 9pm with various leaders from across the continent attending.
“This event is a follow-up of the official launch of the candidature by H.E. President William Ruto held on 27thAugust, 2024 in State House, Nairobi. The launch attended by East African Community leaders marked a significant endorsement of Hon. Odinga's candidature, while underscoring regional and continental support,” the Misirty has said.
“The Addis Ababa event will be a platform to unveil Hon. Odinga's vision and priorities and implementation plan to address Africa's most pressing challenges, seizing existing and emerging opportunities on the continent, in the context of African Union's Agenda 2063.”

The event will bring together representatives from the African Union Member States, Regional Economic Communities, business leaders, youth, women representatives and the civil society, underlining Hon. Odinga's commitment to an inclusive and inter-generational approach in shaping Africa's future, ensuring the continent takes its rightful place in the global arena.
The following day, there will be a luncheon at Radisson Blu Hotel, Addis Ababa from noon.
