Milimani Commercial Court Resident Magistrate Zena Atetwe Rashid Jalenga is dead.
She passed away early on Sunday, October 20, following a long illness, Chief Justice Martha Koome confirmed.
Koome announced the news on her X account, stating, “It is with a profound sense of loss and sadness that I announce the death of Hon. Zena Atetwe Rashid Jalenga.”
The Chief Justice noted Rashid's dedication to justice and the rule of law during her service in the Judiciary, explaining that she worked diligently to uphold the values of the Constitution.
Koome extended condolences to Rashid’s family and friends, adding, “We pray that the Almighty God graces us the fortitude to brave this difficult period and rests her soul in eternal peace.”
